It is one of the premier fashion events in India, this fashion week is organized and jointly run by Lakme and IMG Reliance Limited. The first event took place in 1999, Indian models such as Deepika Padukone, Malika Arora Khan, and Arjun Rampal have participated in it, apart from National models, International participated in the fashion week such as Naomi Campbell.
This event has launched many Indian designers including Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani and Ritu Beri. The best actresses of Lakme Fashion Week are Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra, Lisa Haydon, and Deepika Padukone. Lakme fashion week takes place twice in a year, held in Mumbai. This event has launched the career of various actresses Katrina Kaif, Yana Gupta and Mugdha Ghodse, every year this show attracts big personalities of Bollywood including Shabana Azmi, Hema Malini, Karishma Kapoor, and Nusrat Bharucha.

2- Sao Paulo fashion week-
It is a clothing trade show held semi-annually in Sao Paulo. It is one of the premier fashion events and is the fifth largest fashion week in the world behind NewYork, London, Paris, Milan.
In the past few years, Sao Paulo fashion week has become controversial because of being bias towards white models. In 2009, Sao Paulo fashion week gave equal opportunity to black and white models, participate in this fashion week. It is one of the highlights in Brazil and a highly popular tourist destination.

It is a four-five days event in which popular faces of Hollywood and models are seen. In 2014 Mercedes Benz fashion week was featured as an indigenous fashion week at Sydney’ Town Hall and also supported the first weekend of Mercedes Benz fashion week edition which was open to the public to attend.
In 2008, focus on promoting a healthy body image by using healthier look models on the catwalk. Lan YU was the first Chinese designer to get an opportunity at Mercedes Benz fashion week. Each year Mercedes Benz fashion week generates an estimated amount of $4.5 million into New South Wales economy.
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week has brought in attention many Australian designers such as Lisa Ho, Alex Perr, Leona Edminston, Easton Pearson and Toni Maticevski. It is a fashion event showcasing summer spring collections of Australia’s top designer brands.
